Detroit Piston strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander has banned the team from playing in the Nike Hyperize.  Kander said that with the shoe only weighting 0.8 pounds which was way too light as far as side support.

NBA Kicks: Lebron James VII

Last night Lebron James was seen rocking an all black colorway of his latest signature shoe the Nike Lebron VII.  The thing that makes this pair interesting is that there seems to be a bit of suede on the shoe.  This could possibly be something we will see released in the future or just a pair that he owns himself.  If you look closely in the first oicture you can see a press member sitting courtside in the “Dunkman” version of the Lebron VII.

Nike Air Pippen I White/Orange

Along with Nike releasing an OG colorway of the Nike Air Pippen I a new colorway will be released this summer.  The white and orange version of the shoe is sure to be a nice summer shoe, it is said that they will be available on June 25th.

Air Jordan VI “Lakers” Detailed Look

The year 2010 marks the return of the highly awaited Air Jordan VI.  This colorway of the Air Jordan VI that is set to release some time in May has been inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers.  You can see the Laker purple and yellow in the stitches going through the shoe and on the back tab of the shoe.  Stay tuned for more info on an exact release date.

We at Original DC would like to send a birthday wish to Phil Knight, the founder of Nike a happy birthday.  He first started selling his merchandise out of his car at track meets across the Pacific Northwest.  A friend of his suggested the name Nike and the rest is history.
